Project Brief: This project was self-initiated to study complex vector illustrations and applying geometric shapes to organic forms.
Strategy: I selected three different animals to study: an owl, a tiger, and a trout. The idea was to have an animal from the land, sea, and sky. The goal was to find shapes within nature that the human eye wouldn't normally perceive. I broke the border of the rectangle in the background to make it appear as though the animals were leaping from the paper, a subtle faux 3D effect. Lastly, a unique color palette was applied to the illustrations.
This series was exhibited in the 2023 Calhoun County Community Art Show.
