Project Brief: I was provided with a New Yorker article by Richard Brody that discussed the Blue Note jazz label. A printed editorial spread was needed that revamped the information in an aesthetically pleasing way.
Strategy: Francis Wolff, the photographer for the Blue Note label, possessed a rebellious attitude. My aim was to embody that spirit, along with the vibrancy of jazz, in my editorial design. Opting for analog mark-making and an unconventional layout, I sought to visually convey the same bold attitude.
