Strategy: Music in the Madness is a stamp series that seeks to highlight musical artists that found a way to produce music during the initial lockdown that resulted from the beginnings of the COVID-19 pandemic. I found that during this time in my life, I kept returning to music to help me sort through my huge emotions. I focused on this feeling and chose to honor Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers, Julian Casablancas, and Fiona Apple through stamps. by providing these four particular artists with a personalized stamp, this special edition set wishes to honor them for immortalizing their own and the public’s human feelings during a scary and isolating time for everyone. In what is the first global pandemic to happen in the digital age, connection via other means has been essential.
