Mural Design

Skills Used: Illustration, Mural Design, Teamwork, Painting, Utilizing Client Feedback
Project Brief: The client (Kitty Stone Elementary) asked my Graphic Design Workshop class to produce a mural that would inspire the students to want to come visit the library and get lost in a book.
Strategy: Each student in GDW selected a book genre and designed a section of the mural. This collaborative design was then presented to the client. I selected the Western genre as I knew there is lots of fun imagery to work with, and have always been a fan of Westerns myself. The end result is something I'm very happy with. I believe the children attending KSE will enjoy that mural for years to come. This mural was completed with other JSU students and Professor Dunn.
TRUST THE PROCESS.
This was a collaborative mural between ten students and our professor. Essentially, we had to work out how to equally divide the mural into parts and how it would all work together and seem like it was done from the same hand. It was a long process, but the results were worth it!

This mural is so huge, it took TWO panoramas to capture everything!
